14:00: Bert takes second place after a strong run! Calle wins. Escobar takes third place. Congrats, Bert.

13:45: Bert still in second place, 1:45 behind Calle, but he has picked up the pace. Escobar is in third.

13:21: With 1/3 of the run done, Bert is in second 1:40 behind Calle. Velasquez is third, 4:20 behind.

11:42: More than an hour into the bike leg, Bert has a 26 second lead on Calle. The rest of the pack is 3:40 and up behind.

10:30: Bert is out of T1 and on the bike first! He is 40 seconds faster than fellow title favorite Gomez.

10:26: Bert is out of the water in 4th position as part of a lead group

10:00: And they are off!
